private equity, investment banking, and lending experts discuss the state of the private equity/mergers and acquisitions market
for middle market companies.  In a difficult economic environment, what deals are being done, and in what fashion?  How are
companies currently being valued?    If a company is currently considering a transaction, what should they expect in terms of
deal process and timing?  What kinds of deal structures are being used?  What is the profile of a company that is ‘in demand’
in the current environment?  If you’re a principal of a middle-market company or you work with middle-market clients, you
won’t want to miss this discussion. The meetings also happen to be great opportunities to meet other professionals. If you

Atlanta Chapter President's Message:

New location!  Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at the Georgian Terrace Hotel.  Information about
the Georgian Terrace Hotel (including directions and maps) can be found at http://www.thegeorgianterrace.com.  Note that
the cost of the meeting is $25 which includes complimentary self parking.

The topic of the September meeting is Middle Market Private Equity/Mergers and Acquisitions Update.  We will have a panel
of experts moderated by Stuart Johnson, a Partner with Powell Goldstein LLP.  I encourage you to invite some friends to
attend.

This will be the first joint meeting of the Atlanta and Buckhead Chapters.  As discussed previously, the GSCPA at the state
level is evaluating Chapters that may benefit by combining their resources and leadership talent.

Finally, we want to provide the best continuing education and networking opportunities as possible.  We invite you to give us
feedback on how we are doing.  We are also interested in finding additional leaders who would like to join our management
team.  We'll be happy to help you find a position to best help you achieve your goals.

Regards,
